We often think that the graphic design work and printing far outweigh the importance of the finishing; however, having the perfect finishing touches on your pieces can be a make-or-break moment for the design and print. At Dimensional Graphics, we take those standards seriously. We want any and all pieces that are designed and/or printed here to look the part.

For us, finishing is broken apart into five different categories: cutting & trimming, folding & scoring, binding, laminating, and packaging & shrink wrap. Cutting & trimming are used on almost every single piece that gets printed in our facility. We print smaller projects onto larger sheets because it is more cost effective, but we also do it to have clean, crisp edges on the final product.

Folding & scoring are more specific to certain projects. If we use heavier stock paper that needs folded, we usually score the pieces first so the fold itself is crisp and the colors appear bright. For binding, we have a few options, but one of the most common is a plastic coil, but this involves precision and attention to detail. We use laminating for specific pieces that need the extra shine and protection; however, we also have UV coatings if you are looking for that finishing touch as well.

Last, but certainly not least is packaging & shrink wrapping. We want your final pieces to come to you in great shape, so that means we need to package them up well. Did we mention free delivery in the Quad Cities?
